...and other obscure, and obscene, rugby songs.  The July 4th weekend at the ranch inspired much debauchery and abuse of inebriants, particularly of the agave variety.

There was the holiday patriotic theme, including a new flag site and dye job.

Many of the usual suspects showed up for a long weekend of camping and partying.

And of course there was music...  day and night...

A new generation of singer songwriters made an appearance, and got some hints from a pro...

Food and drink was plentiful...  tons of bacon, a surprise tempura snack, and a Bloody Mary morning with the bar bitches before the giant wok scrambled freakout...

A new feature of the camp site was a tribute to fallen friends...

We held Sunday Services with appropriate, and inappropriate, religious tunes...

Everyone gathered around for the music and Sunday Sacrement...

Hot Days and Hot Cars

Summer days bring out the best from the local car culture.  I'm glad I caught a blurb about this show.

I never realized that the local scene was so extensive.  Besides the cars, I was amazed at the collection of people who came out for this show:  older gear heads, lowriders, bikers, 50's retro JD's, neo-hippies, and a couple old farts (us).  But then cars sort of define what it is to be an American.  Enjoy the pics (click on 'em to get a bigger view).
